Nick has owned this XJS for some time but despite careful maintenance it suffered a radiator failure which has caused the engine to overheat and subsequent failure of both head gaskets. Nick was referred to us from another of our clients who suggested we take a look at what we could do.
The car arrived as a non-runner, slightly battle scarred from a hard life (nothing that couldn't be fixed) and in need of some hard graft in the engine department.

The engine was not a pretty sight thanks to a couple of copius oil leaks, mostly the result of the head gasket failure but the engine came out without much trouble and was soon ready for work to begin.

Initial inspection of the engine with the heads removed showed clear water ingress in cylinder 6A, next step is the full stripdown of the engine ready for clean and rebuild.
